Dr. Wellisz and Bioplate, Inc. have donated valuable medical supplies and educational materials to humanitarian organizations providing medical care to children suffering craniofacial anomalies in developing countries.

Bob Schwartz

Bob Schwartz, Founding Director

Producer, International Affairs, CBS News and 60 Minutes. 25+ years building U.S. support for Central American economic and social development, primarily focusing on public health. Generated $75 million in medicines and medical equipment for public health facilities in Nicaragua, Mexico, El Salvador, and Cuba (1994-present). Mr. Schwartz has initiated and led 17 exchange visits of surgeons from leading U.S. institutions and organizations, including Stanford University, Texas Children's Hospital, Interplast, International Volunteers in Urology, and the University of Southern California.

Javier Bajana

Javier Bajana, Latin American Program Director

For more than a decade Mr. Bajana has worked with non-profit organizations developing medical aid programs in Latin America, assisting in the delivery of millions of dollars in medicine and medical supplies to the region. Mr. Bajana has coordinated medical aid missions with such high-profile figures as Muhammad Ali, and worked as a consultant and co-producer on award winning documentaries including Nicaragua: Report from the Front and When the Mountain Trembles, featuring Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu Tum.

Joshua Bardfield

Joshua Bardfield, Director, International Services

Mr. Bardfield has developed international education and development programs with numerous non-profit organizations. He worked hands-on in southern Mexico on medical development projects, including the construction of a hospital for indigenous people. For the last three years he has developed and coordinated medical aid and surgical programs in Latin America, and participated in the delivery of tens of thousands of dollars in medicine and medical services.
